Why continue working out while on vacation?!

We all need some time off from work, everyday stress, and pressure. But do we really need to take off an entire week or two from exercising? Remember all the reasons why you committed to fitness in the first place! Staying active while you are on vacation would make your experience in a new place more enjoyable. Here is why:


  1. You don’t need time to “reset” when you get back. I’m not saying you would lose all your gains taking a week long break, but it might throw you off a bit. You might lack motivation once you are back or your body and mind would need time to switch from all day laying on the beach to your regular routine.


  1. Morning boost of endorphins will keep you happy, and relaxed throughout the day after your workout.


  1. Waking up early to have your workout done before breakfast would leave you with more energy and time to spend the day on activities you love doing most while on vacation.


  1. If you don’t feel like going to the gym take a walk/bus/bike tour around the city you are staying at. Explore your surroundings and hit 10k steps :)


  1. Explore local gyms and meet new people. Sometimes new people bring new opportunities in our lives. Don’t miss out on that! 


  1. Here is the chance for you to try something new. Find out if the gyms do any boot camps or yoga on the beach where you are going to. Maybe go mountain climbing or kayaking. Have a great time while staying active!
