Strength and Balance
STRENGTH & BALANCE class is designed for older adults who are looking to work on increasing functional strength, flexibility, and balance. A certified trainer will guide participants through exercises using basic resistance equipment, individual body weight, and chairs for assistance.
Barre - inspired by ballet, yoga and Pilates . Every class strategically works to build strength , flexibility for the functional body balance and helps to improve posture. The end of class is finished with floor exercises. During this class you will use a Pilates ball for deeper transverse abdominal workout. While stretching throughout the entire hour, flexibility at all levels will increase. For all levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced.
PILATES is a mat class focusing on the core postural muscles that help keep the body balanced and are essential for a healthy back. Exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.
